Research Interests

Dahlia Ferlito earned a B.S. degree in Human Services from Northeastern University and is currently pursuing a Master's of Public Health at California State University at Northridge. Ms. Ferlito has extensive experience working in the field of HIV/AIDS and substance abuse in nonprofit and research settings including Cambridge Cares About AIDS, Asian Pacific Health Care Venture, and the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center. Ms. Ferlito has supervised community volunteers in a homeless youth drop-in center, coordinated a street-outreach teen pregnancy prevention program, and coordinated a comprehensive program that involved sexual education, street outreach, HIV test counseling, and family planning counseling. Dahlia is a certified HIV Testing Counselor, Family Planning Counselor, and Reproductive Health Counselor. Currently, Ms. Ferlito works as the Director of Programs overseeing a HIV Health Education/Risk Reduction program, a Comprehensive Risk Counseling Services program, a Social Network HIV Counseling and Testing program, and a Motivational Interviewing program.
