Leadership
The SRC is directed by a team of three researchers
who also serve as investigators on various research projects. Their duties include:
Medical Director,
Robert P. Schwartz, M.D. directs and represents SRC activities relating to: Strategic planning for SRC’s focus,
scope and scientific agenda; relations with community
institutions and services; research participants rights and
safety; Quality Assurance; planning for staff education and
mentoring; accounting of SRC productivity in terms of funded
research, scientific presentations, and publications; and
functions as the interface between the SRC and FRI on general
research and service matters.
Program Director,
Thomas E. Hanlon, Ph.D. coordinates SRC project
development and implementation relating to: Arranging and
supervising the provision of grant application input from senior
staff; maintaining oversight of research program progress;
reviewing procedural training for new and reassigned staff; and
along with Principal Investigators, representing the SRC on
specific research project issues.
Administrative Director, Diana H. Caldwell, M.P.A., directs and
represents SRC activities relating to: Financial matters;
personnel policies and procedures; technical and information
management system services; physical site administration;
adherence to governmental policy requirements; and
interface between SRC and officials at external funding
organizations.
