Research Interests
Mrs. Couvillion has worked at FRI for over six years. Her research is focused on drug abuse treatment for criminal justice populations, including opioid maintenance treatment for prisoners with heroin addiction histories. She has extensive experience coordinating, recruiting, and interviewing substance-abusing adolescents, prisoners, and probationers/parolees. Mrs. Couvillion is currently a research associate on two NIDA funded studies: Methadone Maintenance for Prisoners and Buprenorphine for Prisoners. In addition, she is project coordinator on a feasibility study examining injectable naltrexone with probationers funded by the Dana Foundation.
