Interests
Ms. Gonzalez’s research has
primarily focused on preventative intervention programs that aim
to reduce risky behavior among urban African American youth. Her
research also focuses on using intersectional theory to assess
the positive aspects of being a minority. In spring 2010, she
will present her research on cross-category friendship patterns
at the 16th Annual Multicultural Conference at Towson University
and the Ninth Annual Graduate Research Symposium at The College
of William and Mary. Ms. Gonzalez is currently a graduate
student at Towson University and will obtain her Master of Arts
in Clinical Psychology in 2011.
