Research Interests

Ms. Gonzalez’s research has primarily focused on preventative intervention programs that aim to reduce risky behavior among urban African American youth. Her research also focuses on using intersectional theory to assess the positive aspects of being a minority. In spring 2010, she will present her research on cross-category friendship patterns at the 16th Annual Multicultural Conference at Towson University and the Ninth Annual Graduate Research Symposium at The College of William and Mary. Ms. Gonzalez is currently a graduate student at Towson University and will obtain her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology in 2011.
